Never promise what you cannot deliver
Codified but not practiced
Should be a credo for all lawyers
A man's promise binds upon his honour (if he has one)
A lawyer's word is a noose around his neck
You''ll never know who the hangman is
Or when the time is
So be careful my fellow practitioners
For they often say that lawyers screw people (or clients)
But rarely they say of lawyers screwed,
by their own promise
